Mac4x4 2007 Challenge:

09/09/06 - 'PLANET 4x4' Magazine - Bought the October issue which includes a write-up written by Tim, more

31/08/06 - Appeared in our local newspapers: Page 4 in the 'Camberley News', 'Farnborough News' & 'Aldershot

10/08/06 - Received confirmation of sponsorship from several companies, including: 'Jungle Time Adventures',

01/08/06 - Mac4x4 has been listed on 'Wikipedia - The Free Encylopedia', have a look at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macmillan_4x4_UK_Challenge#2007_Event.

08/04/06 - Got confirmation that 'Team Th13teen' were entered into the Mac4x4 2007.

 

Mac4x4 2006 Challenge:

28/01/06 - The 'Supplementary Regulaitions' were announced for the Mac 4x4 2006. They can be found at: 'www.mac4x4.co.uk/2006Mac4x4Regs.doc'

16/12/05 - As of 19th Dec '05 the Mac 4x4 has had 50 entries. Any other entries will be placed onto a waiting list (i.e. They will be excepted with an entry form without the fee) This will then build up a reserve - The reason for this is because last year 12 dropped out and were replaced after Christmas.

09/11/05 - Latest News/Announcement: "Sunita Shroff, TV presenter and actress, will Navigate in a 1995 300Tdi Defender for Russ Brown of the Beds, Herts and Cambs Land Rover Club in the forthcoming Macmillan 4x4 UK challenge. They will be one of a number of BHCLRC teams entered in the event, which takes place over the weekend of 11th/12th March 2006". To find out more, click on the following links:

19/10/05 - I set up the 'MAC4x4 FORUM' - to help other fellow Mac 4x4ers with any questions, etc that they may have. To have a look at the forum, have a look at: www.mac4x4forum.co.uk

24/09/05 - Fitted snorkel to the Pajero, which was kindly donated by 'Sarafi Snorkels', c/o Arbil Engineering. Below are a couple of pictures to the snorkel in action (click on the images for larger pictures)!

13/08/05 - Sent Fitted rear ladder to my Pajero (Click Here for picture)

.31/03/05 - Sent the entry fee off at the beginning of the week and received confirmation on 31st March that it has been received.

 

Mac4x4 2005 Challenge:

04/03/05-06/03/05 - The 2005 Mac4x4 event has arrived. Sorted out the final bits on on the Friday and drove to the Starting Gate Pub, Hereford. Ready for the Challenge which started at 8.00 on Saturday 5th March. The 2005 Mac4x4 was absolutely amazing. Met many new people, and made many friend. 27/02/05 - Fitted/Wired up the PIAA Spot Lamps to the Pajero, removed rear seats & organised what to bring. Also put my 33 x 12.5 R15 Bridgestone M/T Deulers onto the Pajero.

18/02/05 - FINAL INSRUCTIONS released (including details of what maps are required, etc) We will need to bring the following maps: OS Landranger Sheets 126, 147, 148 and also 162. We will also need to bring a good road atlas and a digital camera or phone camera. Also, this year the overnight stop will be extended so we may need to pack a tent.

08/02/05 - Sponsorship decals received from Clear Signs - looking good!!

Jan 2005: Had plenty of feedback from friends, family, work colleagues, companies, etc regarding the sponsorship side of thing. Received the Lamps, Bulbs & Wipers from PIAA and also a Truck Air Compressor from 4x4 Winches. These items were donated to us by these companies. Myself and Pack both sat down and went through, studied and worked out what we will need/require for the Mac4x4 2005.......e.g.

• Different navigational skills that we need
• Items required (recovery items, such as ropes, etc - the list seems to be endless)
• Also other items, minor or major, we need (such as: CB, sleeping bag, flask, camera
  mount, mugs, etc...the list also seems to be endless!!!)
• What stickers/decals we require for the vehicle (depending on the companies who
  are sponsoring us)
• A place to stay the night before

Sept-Dec 2004: At the end of 2004 we endeavoured to contact local & national companies to try and raise the sponsorship money, or have donations in the forms of supplies we require, for our vehicle. Our aim was to try and contact. Also we contacted friends, family, work colleagues, etc, to try and raise more sponsorship money for the Mac4x4 Challenge.
